Imagine someone being in excruciating pain, only to be turned away by a hospital because they’re afraid of legal consequences. That’s what’s happening to women across Texas, as dangerous laws prevent doctors from providing the care that could save their lives. The stories of women like Kyleigh Thurman, who nearly lost her life because doctors refused to treat her ectopic pregnancy, are becoming all too common.
This isn't just wrong—it's terrifying. Since 2022, more than 100 women in emergency situations have been denied care or received substandard treatment because of these extreme laws. These aren’t just numbers; these are women who could have been your sister, your daughter, your friend.
Many folks on the other side of the aisle want to maintain these dangerous restrictions, believing that all abortions, even those necessary to save a woman’s life, are unacceptable. I believe that no one should die because they were denied critical medical care. Every woman deserves the right to life-saving treatment, and no doctor should fear imprisonment for doing their job.
These life-threatening laws must be overturned. We need leaders who will fight for women's health and safety, not bow to extremist pressure. This is why I’m committed to standing up for women in Texas and beyond.
Together, we can ensure that women receive the care they need when they need it most. If we don't act now, more lives will be at risk.
With your support, we can build a future where no woman is left to suffer alone. Please join me in this crucial fight to protect our mothers, daughters, and sisters.
Thank you for standing with me in this fight.
